  • Fear of freezing up.
  • Lack of confidence in one’s abilities.
  • Self-consciousness.
  • Social Anxiety.
  • Playing for the wrong reasons (*)
  • Can you think of some others?

(*) Such as an unhealthy emphasis on extrinsic rewards and not enough emphasis on the intrinsic joys of playing music.
