Tenth in the series of tasty chord voicings for a C Major Seventh chord…

This two-fisted voicing contains all seven notes in the Lydian Scale stacked upwards in thirds from the root. You might conceive it as a basic C Major 7 in your left hand with a D Major Triad (all color tones) in your right. You still have HOMEWORK to do: Using your knowledge of scales and chord structure (and your ears of course), transpose this voicing to all twelve keys. In doing so, you are going to build an enormous chord vocabulary that integrates the aural, visio-spatial, kinesthetic and lays a solid foundation for fluent improvisation.
